Darcy Andrews’s life is all sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll. But not really. At least not in the way you’re thinking.
Living in a trailer park on the wrong side of the tracks with her mom and drug-addict brother leaves a lot to be desired. Eager to escape, she plans to have one glorious, fun-filled summer before she busts her ass senior year in hopes of landing a scholarship and a one-way ticket out of town.
Too bad her big brother just stole the rent money from their mom’s purse, leaving Darcy no choice but to pawn the one thing that means the most to her. Her father’s guitar, Darlene. Even worse? Darlene ends up in the hands of the irritatingly perfect and popular Grey Addams. Worse than that? He kind of sucks at it. She’s going to get her guitar back. Even if she has to teach some rich boy how to play it first.
Losing the guitar her dad left behind is the worst thing to ever happen to her, but the journey to get it back may end up being the best. Darcy and Grey have more in common than she ever expected, but she wonders if those things are enough to overcome their differences.
